The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) congratulates DR. DWIGHT L. WILLIAMS, PH.D., P.E. as the 2005 - 2006 National Young Engineer of the Year
Dwight is an internationally renowned nuclear expert. He served as a session chair and speaker at the 13th International Conference on Nuclear Engineering held in Beijing, China. His paper was entitled, Discriminating Minimal Peaks from Background in Gamma-Ray Spectroscopy. He also served as a session chair and speaker at the 7th International Conference on Nuclear Engineering that took place in Tokyo, Japan. As a result of his participation in this conference, he was invited to tour four Japanese nuclear sites to observe facility improvements. Stateside, Dwight was a speaker at the 2002 Nuclear Weapons Effects Conference and an exhibitor at the 8th International Conference on Controlling Arms. He also instructed at the Defense Nuclear Weapons School.
Beyond Dwight’s participation and leadership roles in conferences, he has an established history of technical publications. Some of his more interesting publications are listed below.
